Don’t skip breakfast!  It is super important to get your metabolism running early in the morning. The hunger for nutrients builds up in your body overnight, long before lunch time.

Take the stairs! Studies show that taking the stairs over an escalator or an elevator can reduce your waist size by up to 2% in 12 weeks!

People drinking water, staying hydratedDrink more water.  It is hard to keep up with sometimes when you are busy, so you could make a game of it by linking your sips to something you do repetitiously throughout the day, maybe for you that’s checking your email or taking phone calls? Whatever it might be, drinking more water will help you lose weight.

Drink a glass of water before meals I know we just mentioned water, but we should also mention that a lot of times, you mistake hunger for thirst. Try drinking a glass of water before your meal. The added benefit of helping with your digestion is a bonus!

Pack a healthy snack.  Make certain you have some options with you to help you avoid the vending machines!  Snacking throughout the day will aid in your metabolism too.

Use smaller plates Putting your food on smaller plates will help you to control the portion size! For an added benefit, you could use blue plates. The color blue acts as an appetite suppressant.

What-chu got in that salad?  When most people think of salads, they think of a healthy dish, but lets be honest, if you load your salad with fatty dressings and chicken fried steak you are depleting the benefits rapidly.

When you’re eating, slow down! By slowing down when you eat, you give your stomach much needed time to digest, so you are more likely to realize when your body has become full and stop eating.

Get active. Those who spend 2 hours or more on their feet during the day can burn up to 350 extra calories a day! So get up and start walking around, its good for you!
